User Manual:
Preparation for Use:
- Unfold the Pad: Take a new cat pad and unfold it.
- Smooth Out: Smooth out the cat box pads with your hands to remove any creases at the folds.
- Adjust Size if Needed: The cat litter pads are elastic; you can stretch them lengthwise and widthwise if necessary to fit the tray properly.
- Positioning: Place the pee pads in its designated spot with the absorbent side facing up.
- Secure Edges: Smooth out the disposable pads so that their edges are facing upwards and snug against the tray edges.
- Ensure Liquid Containment: Ensure the litter pads are smoothed out to prevent liquid from spilling over the edges.
How and When to Change the Pad:
You’ll typically feel when it’s time to change the pad through observation. Ideally, replace the pad when it reaches full capacity but before liquid spills during the switch.
To determine if the pad needs changing, lift a corner to check if it folds easily. If liquid squeezes out from the absorbent material and is visible at the fold, the pad is full and should be replaced.
When changing the pad promptly and without spills, you can skip washing the tray since the plastic remains untouched by urine.
If urine has reached the tray during a change, wash it with soap or a disinfectant.
The kitty pads are 100% waterproof. If you find liquid beneath it, consider these possibilities:
- The pad wasn’t properly flattened, allowing liquid to flow over its edges. Ensure the pad is spread out evenly when installing a new one.
- You missed changing the pad, causing it to overflow and spill liquid.
- The bottom waterproof layer of the pad is damaged or has a hole.
Please note:
During the pad’s lifespan, flip the tray with the pad 180 degrees halfway through. Cats often urinate in a specific area of the litter box, causing liquid to collect on one side of the pad. Flipping the tray helps distribute liquid evenly across the pad’s surface.
The lifespan and absorbency can vary depending on environmental factors. Absorption capabilities are influenced by humidity and air temperature. The composition of the animal’s urine, including salts, bacteria, and other impurities, may affect the absorbent material’s performance.
If you notice odour from the litter pads before they reach full capacity, please consult with the seller. You can also use a special deodorizer for cat pads. This deodorizer breaks down urine compounds, prevents absorbent breakdown, and helps prevent odor formation while extending the pee pads’ lifespan.
